TONY MOTT AUSTRALIAS MOST ICONIC MUSIC PHOTOGRAPHER

I would have to say it was a career highlight to shoot alongside Tony Mott - Leading Australian rock and music photographer - who has a career spanning more than 30 years. Upon arriving at his home we were greeted with his iconic images of Freddie Mercury, Bjork, AC/DC, Black Eyed Peas, Bon Jovi - I mean the list goes on - adorning his hallway. I was there to shoot some BTS for Australian Country Artist Jayne Denim.

During our shoot while moving couches, he bent down to pick something up off the floor. It was a megative of Midnight Oil. He laughed and said “ How’s that! Its a shoot I did with Midnight Oil!” Of course it was. Haha. I caught the moment it happened and framed the image for him and gave it to him for his book launch. Tony’s catalogue of work is inspiring to say the least but his unassuming nature and love for the arts is what modivates me yet again to produce work that captures history. What a gift this day was.
